The All India Unani Tibbi Congress was established on 15 August 1989 and registered on 9 August 1990. Its founders include Dr. AU Azmi (Alig) [Former Member of Parliament Lok Sabha], Dr. Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed (Professor of Anatomy, AKT Aligarh Muslim University and A&U Medical College, Delhi), Hakeem Sayantullah Amrohvi (Eminent Physician Unani) and Hakeem Mohammad Mohtaram Usmani (Commercial Manager, Hamdard and Shama) are worth mentioning. Hakeem Akhlaq Ahmad (a famous Unani physician) played an important role in its registration.

- Appointment of Adviser Unani in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India
- Establishment of NIUM Bangalore
- Establishment of Unani Department in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh
- Establishment of Government Unani Medical College, Tonk and Bareilly
- To ensure the appointment of medical officers in several provinces of the country
- Organizing dozens of symposiums, seminars and conferences to awaken Unani physicians
- Organizing hundreds of Free Unani Medical Camps etc. across the country is a prominent part of our movement.
Apart from this, we are active in organizing free Unani medical camps to restore the dignity of Unani doctors, appoint Unani doctors in government jobs and popularize Unani medicine among the public.
